The M-45 is specifically designed for high capacity with a large thru hole. The spindle assembly is supported in a pair of radial crossed roller bearings each with a static capacity of over 3,000
lbf.
The specially manufactured worm and gear set is a heavy duty, 16 pitch, 90:1 configuration. The drive end is carried in preloaded angular contact bearings while the tail, carried in radial bearings, is spring loaded to provide constant mesh between the worm & the gear. This removes backlash and compensates for wear.
The spindle stands proud of the main base by 1/8" on one side and is recessed on the opposite. The main base has four mounting holes on each face. Each face of the spindle has eight mounting holes and four orthogonal 1/2" keyways.
Two sides of the base have four 5/16" mounting holes and the third side has a 1" wide keyway plus four 3/8" mounting holes.
General construction is black anodized aluminum with steel threaded insert mounting holes.
The motor mount uses a 5mm HTD timing belt with two pulleys. It can be both rotated through 360 degrees and reversed for ultimate flexibility.
